The United Socialist States of America

Obama Obey
Kneel before the One

Obamacare is not about providing better health care to anyone. It will be the vehicle through which the government gains control of everything including your own living body. Living under Obamacare will mean a bureaucrat decides whether your children will be born. A bureaucrat will decide what medical treatments you will receive. A bureaucrat will decide when you die.

A patient under Obamacare will no longer be a freeborn citizen but they will be serfs subject to the will of the State.

If you think this is alarmist rhetoric and overblown you haven’t been paying attention to the actions of this Democratic congress, the Federal Reserve, and Obama’s many Czars.

Why is everyone so afraid of socialism? I don’t understand it at all. Everyone starts panicking and saying, “The government is trying to take over our lives!” Just please try to think logically about SOME socialist institutions that are beneficial to the people of this country. The public library is very socialist. How many children that couldn’t afford books otherwise are able to enjoy reading because of the socialist public library. The Public School system allows children, that otherwise couldn’t afford it, to get an education. Yes I know the system needs work, but at least kids have some kind of education rather than none at all. And no education at all is exactly what many poor kids would get if the system was not socialized.

Again thinking logically, what about the fire department? If the fire department was not socialized, people would have to pay private fire departments to be on standby just in case their house caught on fire! And what if you’re one of those poor bastards that can’t afford to pay the private fire house? Guess what, your house would burn to the ground and there’d be nothing you could do about it. Sound kinds familiar? Point is everyone fears change. It’s ok to be scared when we don’t know what’s going to happen, but it’s not all terrible. There are pros and cons to everything. Maybe it won’t be such a bad thing. Speaking from experience, the health care system can’t get much worse. So let’s wait and see what happens.

PS. “Living under Obamacare will mean a bureaucrat decides whether your children will be born.”

    Come on now. Seriously?

So they are going to be running around forcing women to get abortions? Wow these people are terrible…

  3. Conservatism does not mean no government at all. A healthy government has a limited defined role because government only grows at the expense of freedom. You would be best served to read the links I provided previously.

I have looked at the links you provided. And I have done a lot of research on the subject from all the different viewpoints. I can provide links for the positive as well http://www.huffingtonpost.com/zack-cooper/english-healthcare-in-the_b_259966.html

The point is all sides need to be looked at. The French have a government controlled health care system and the average life expectancy there is at least 3 years more than here in the US.

I am aware that conservatism does not mean no government at all. You say limited and I say where do we draw the line? I am sure people years ago panicked over the thought of a public school system. Or Public roads, fire departments, police departments etc. I am sure they panicked the same way they are now over the health care situation. Now though, we wouldn’t know what to do without those institutions. Why will a Public option health care be so much different?

I am a middle class citizen of this country living well within my means. I can not afford insurance. And my employer does not provide it. I avoid the doctor because I can not afford to go. And my story reflects many other people around this country.

The plan Obama is offering is not to destabilize things and take over our living bodies as you said earlier. The whole point is to take the control out of the hands of the private insurance companies and attempt to make it easier for people like me to afford medical care when they need it. Is that really such a bad thing?

Yes, it really is that bad. Without entrepreneurship of businesses large and small there would be no new wealth created, no new technology, and no advancement toward a better tommorrow.

There is a reason why socialist governments always fail. Socialism provides no incentive for people to work harder. If the product of my labor doesn’t belong to me then why should I ever work to improve the product I create.
